Strategic Planning

Your Workplace Future Needs a Roadmap, a Guide, and The Right People at The Table

Doing Strategic Planning Differently...

At its core, strategic planning is more about people, than the plans.

You cannot plan for the future of an organization without centering the people who make that future possible. Without their voices, strategic planning becomes limited to data analysis and document review. Every goal achieved, benchmark reached, and vision realized is ultimately carried out by people. That's why understanding the perspectives of employees, leaders, investors, board members, and key stakeholders is our first priority.

As technology continues to reshape the workplace, culture and human connection must remain at the center of how organizations make decisions about their future.

That's where my approach to strategic planning is unique.

I facilitate a process that honors every voice through assessment, listening sessions, and regular sit downs with the primary point person, to create a clear roadmap for the next three years.

Together, we identify priorities, align around a shared vision, and translate big-picture goals into practical action. The result is not just a PDF, but a living guide that outlines what success looks like and how to achieve it, quarter by quarter, beginning with year one.

The Promise:

Strategic Planning moves your vision from big ideas and dreams into realistic pursuits and actionable planning. It gathers the right voices, keeps top priorities as the focus, and produces a tangible roadmap that evokes inspiration and excitement.

We balance imagination with practicality so your plan
is not just aspirational...it is actionable.

Five Steps to a New Vision

STEP 1: Who is At The Table?
Effective strategic planning starts with strategically deciding who is at the table. Leadership? Investors? Board members? Representatives from each area? Lucy works with you to narrow down your planning group.

STEP 2: Assessment & Listening Sessions
Lucy gathers insights across the organization and board to surface strengths, challenges, ideas, and aspirations. Invite people at every level to share hopes and needs so every voice informs the work.

STEP 3: Mission, Vision, and Values Check-In
The planning group reviews the previous strategic plan to ensure the mission, vision, and values are still aligned with the organization’s direction and priorities. From there, we decide what should carry forward into the new plan, what needs refinement, and what should be left behind.

STEP 4: Determine Priorities
We gather the planning group to identify the overall strategic direction and the top 3–5 key priorities ahead of the first session. This preparatory step ensures we enter the planning day with the groundwork laid and the heavy lifting already done.

STEP 5: Strategic Planning Session
The day has arrived! We come together for a half- or full-day session to synthesize all previous work and translate it into clear, actionable goals for the future.
